2 &1/2 days of sewing...

So I've started sewing plushies again. These ones are probably my favourite to make. They take a while to make each, as I hand-sew the ears, head, arms, legs to the body. I am always running into problems which stitching constantly showing out of the end of the arms/ears.

I'm very bad at hand stitching!

Since I'm using my phone camera the colour is off and they are much more vibrant and brighter in real life.

The first one I did was the one to the left with the patch underneath the eye. For the eyes on both the bunnies, I used something called "enamel cap snaps" which has prongs on the bottom of the "button" and takes a very little amount effort for it to accidentally fall off. His name is George.

After making this one, I had to make more!! So I went to the fabric store and bought more fabric. Cotton is so expensive!! Luckily they don't take much fabric, so I can buy so many different patterns for $3/$4 dollars for a good slice.

The second one is the bunny to the right. His name is Francoise. He is a little chubbier than the first one, but definitely like the placement of his arms better. Instead of sewing the arms to the side of his body, I connected it to the head/neck part.

My latest one is a little lamb with no eyes; instead I "embroidered" - and I use that term very loosely - the sleepy eyes. Not the best placement as I can tell it is a little crocked >.> Also I ran out of eyes, so I have to get more of those as I just love them! This one has no name... I was thinking Sebastian, but it didn't sound right, so I have to use that name for a future plush.

I think I'll continue making these type of plushies, as they use so many different types of fabric that I *LOVE* and are relatively easy to create.
